The Mission

The light had begun all those years ago,

The mission started from the birth of time,

The stars in the sky made to shine, they celebrate when dust became life,

Thousands of years past, but eternity it lasts,

And now is the time to see the path.

Sing songs of comfort,

Sing songs of joy,

For now is the time to seek,

Knock on the door and ask for help,

And take a little peek,

For once you see the treasure inside you'll be sure to change,

Your life will rearrange from what is lost to what is gained, and in an instant your life will be reclaimed.

As the planets turn on an axis, such a sublime yet simple thing,

And the heat of the Sun burns bright as it rises and sets new life begins every day,

Every day we wrong, every day we fall, every day we rise again to see our life in front of us.

The unverse is a gift to us all, a place we call home,

The Earth the centre a special dwelling for man until we lose everything and gain it back again, finding a new place to rest our head, and slumber deep and sweet in our warm bed.

The mission completes on the last page of the book,

Frightening and deadly we long and fear to take a look,

But read we must until we rust, and then we will rise for certain from this old Earth's crust.

Gently does it when we are there,

But hard is the journey if we let our friend down, so fear wrong and do only what's right, then and only then do we delight and marvel in the presents of a wonderous and mysterious feat, and we know then that the mission is complete!
